EARLY PLANNING TOOL · US MARKET
What could your web app cost to build?
Choose a product type and a few scope drivers. This tool gives a planning range, not a fixed quote. A scoped estimate can change after workflows, data and acceptance criteria are understood.
Planning range
This is a market planning range, not an Rvion quote or a commitment on cost or timing.

HOW TO READ THE ESTIMATE
What does this calculator estimate?
The estimate starts with a broad baseline for the product type, then adjusts for scope signals: additional user roles, integrations, ERP connections, a companion mobile app, and extra privacy or legal requirements. The delivery-team choice is only a cost scenario factor; choosing a freelancer or a company does not predict quality or outcomes. Annual maintenance is modeled as a percentage of development cost, not as a support contract.
Real project costs depend on workflows, permission levels, data volume and quality, migration, reporting, accessibility, security, hosting and acceptance criteria. ERP integrations are often more involved than a simple connection; API design and documentation quality can affect effort. A mobile app adds a separate scope component. Selecting legal or privacy requirements raises the planning scenario only; it is not a substitute for legal or security review.
The low, middle and high bands below draw on published vendor ranges and market guides. Many sources are written by development vendors, and their methods are not directly comparable; these figures should not be read as a definitive US-market average. The available accounting ranges are not supported by a US-specific benchmark and are directional only. Use the result to start a scope conversation; a more specific estimate needs project discovery.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a final quote?
No. It is a planning band based on limited inputs. A quote requires an agreed scope and deliverables.
Why ask about roles and integrations?
Roles can introduce different permissions and workflows. Each integration needs its own data, API, failure and testing review. The factors here are simplified planning assumptions, not project accounting.
What does maintenance include?
This tool shows only a directional annual percentage. Support, hosting, new features and response commitments must be defined separately.

Sources and assumptions
- Apptage (vendor guide, 2026)
- Kelp (agency guide aggregating vendor/Clutch ranges, 2026)
- Rvion article 11 — custom software cost ranges (vendor sources; accounting figures directional)
- Rvion article 12 — hiring rates used only for the team scenario ratio
The senior-freelancer factor of 0.5 is derived from the midpoint hourly rates in article 12 (about $140.50 ÷ $280 per hour); that ratio is not evidence of actual project costs. The 5% per-extra-role factor, product timelines and added time for integrations, ERP and mobile are explicit model assumptions, not market statistics.
